I just watched the Intial D. It begins with a dumb boy, Takumi and his friend, Isuki, who had been working to buy a racing car. They met Iketani, their superviser at their workplace(petrol station) who aiso race too. He is the leader of a racing team, Speed Stars. Iketani found out that Takumi's father is a very good racer. He asked him for his help to outrace another racing team, Red Suns. Takumi was sent to race with the Red Suns. They were shocked to find Takumi to take the place for his father. Takumi use their family car, the 86, to race with a good car, the FC.
During the race, Takumi could display spectaculer drifting skills and he canoutrace the FC easily. After tahat incident, Iketani requests Takumi to help out with their race.
